‘Aiea Christmas Parade and Blood Drive

Parade route: Pearl Ridge Elementary/Pearlridge Community Park to Aiea Public Library (Pohai Place). Parade starts at 9 a.m. Please be aware that there will be lane closures in effect along the parade route. We apologize for any inconvenience.

UPDATE (November 20, 2023): Due to a shortage of volunteers, the Aiea Family Fun Fair will not be held this year. The parade and blood drive will go forward as usual. This post has been updated accordingly.

From Karen Higa and Claire Tamamoto:

Come join us at the Aiea Christmas Parade this year!

The Aiea Christmas Parade will be held on December 9, 2023. Please join us at this community event to celebrate the holiday season, whether it’s as a participant or a spectator! (If you’d like to participate in the parade, please see the application form below!)

Many schools, businesses, churches, and community groups have participated in previous years. The parade featured marching bands, classic cars, floats, and, of course, Santa. This year the parade will start at 9am at Pearl Ridge Elementary School and will end at the Old Sugar Mill Site on Halewiliko Street next to the Aiea Library.

The Blood Bank of Hawaii will be at the Aiea Public Library that day for a blood drive. Hawaii needs more than 200 blood donors every day. Do your part! You can schedule an appointment to give blood by scanning the QR code in the flier below, or you can go to bbh.org.

The Aiea Christmas Parade is sponsored and funded by the Aiea Community Association, which is an IRS designated 501(c) 3 organization. The ACA is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to serving the Aiea Community.

If you have any questions or would like more information about the parade, please contact Karen Higa at aieaparade@yahoo.com.

We hope you can help us to promote this family-friendly community event. Your help and support would be greatly appreciated.

Mahalo and Happy Holidays,

Karen Higa
