This year’s ‘Aiea Christmas Parade & Fun Fair will be held on Saturday, December 12th! This year’s parade will start at Pearlridge Elementary School at 9am, run east along Moanalua Road, then left onto Kaamilo Street, right onto Ulune Street, and end at the old ‘Aiea Sugar Mill site. (That is, this is the “old” route, not the same route that the parade ran last year.)  The Fun Fair will run at the sugar mill site from 10am-2pm.

We are currently accepting applications from groups that want to either march in the parade or get a booth or entertain at the fun fair! If you are interested in participating in either the parade or the fun fair, please download the forms below and submit them to the email address or postal address listed on the form.

In addition, we still need volunteers for the parade to make sure everything runs smoothly! If you are interested in serving your community by volunteering, please send an email to aieaparade@yahoo.com.

We look forward to seeing you at the parade and fair!

‘Aiea ‘Ohana Park Survey

Aloha, We need your help! We want to know what YOU want to see built on the old ‘Aiea Sugar Mill site (the areas bound by Pohai Street, Halewiliko Street, and Halewiliko Place). What features do you want to see? A playground? A community center? Please fill out this short, 2-minute survey to tell us what you would like to see for your community, whether it’s a senior facility, dog park, trees, gathering place, or anything else. Please invest two minutes of your time and share your ideas!

Need some inspiration? Below you will find some beautiful conceptual landscape designs for the old ‘Aiea Sugar Mill site (the areas bound by Pohai Street, Halewiliko Street, and Halewiliko Place). These designs were generated in a University of Hawaii TPSS Landscape Design Class for the ‘Aiea Community Association in the Fall semester of 2014 under the instruction of UH Professor Andy Kaufman (thank you for your help, Professor Kaufman). Take a look at them (click each one to view them at a larger size)–they’re very well thought out and extremely inspirational! Then, once you’re done, please take two minutes to fill out the survey.
